26th Anniversary of the L.A. Civil Unrest Remembrance
L.A. International Peace Parade
Saturday, April 28, 2018, you are cordially invited to the 2018 Los
Angeles International Peace Parade in commemoration of the April 29,
26th Anniversary of the 1992 L.A. Civil Unrest.
This is the sixth time we will be hosting this event.
Our program will feature an Opening Ceremony, a Peace Parade, and
a Peace Festival that will include booths and plenty of entertainment. We will gather together and unite to celebrate what
makes Los Angeles a great place to live.
Our motto is, "We are One." The Peace
Parade promotes love, family, and unity.
CEREMONY 10 AM (FESTIVAL AREA - Normandie / Olympic)
will start things off with the Opening Ceremony that will feature
special guest speakers along with some entertainment.
10:30 AM (Along Olympic between Normandie / Vermont)
This will be followed by the Peace Parade
along Olympic Blvd. This year we have invited United Nations consulates
from around the world to share their cultural heritage that will make
this a truly International Peace Parade.
FESTIVAL 11:30 AM - 3 PM (FESTIVAL AREA - Normandie /
will be plenty of entertainment on the main stage featuring
performers representing countries from around the world, as well as talented local performing
arts groups. And please visit all of the booths where you can learn more
cultures and discover all the opportunities L.A. has to offer.
We have partnered with community leaders,
organizations, government, the clergy, and United Nations
representatives. Once divided, now, "We
are One", working together toward a common goal to make life better
